Viridian

Carbon-aware serverless workload router on AWS — routes jobs to the greenest region in real time.

AWS LambdaDynamoDBS3IAM

Overview

Viridian is an autonomous workload router that makes scheduling decisions based on real-time carbon intensity data from the electricity grid. Jobs are routed to whichever AWS region currently has the lowest carbon footprint.

Built on a fully serverless AWS stack: Lambda for routing logic, DynamoDB for job state, S3 for artifacts, and EventBridge for scheduling triggers. The system is multi-region by design.
